As hardworking internet entrepreneur trying as much as possible to follow the rules that your Google imposes regarding search engine optimization. So-called white-hat SEO.
The reason is simple: follow the rules that Google imposes ensures a long-term strategy. Anything against the rules of Google could eventually backfire.
All very well and good, but what if the competition rules to flout and systematically score higher than your website? To say the least very frustrating. Below are some ways to tell Google to notify of websites that flout the rules (read by the two methods also just my opinion;-)).
Method 1: Spam Report
One of the most obvious tools that Google makes available is to fill out a spam report:
Choose the topic that most suits the type of spam that you've encountered and fill it as accurately as possible. Google shows these reports to view and if possible take action.
Method 2: Using the webmaster forum
Report spam via the Google Webmaster Forum.
My opinion / experience
My personal experience is that both methods not directly expect. My suspicion is that the Dutch language less attention in this regard. But again, that's an assumption.
Problem is that Google has too few men to spam manually to tackle. They therefore search for similarities in the spam reports and based on that they will modify the algorithm.
In some cases they will take action manually. However, these examples, especially in the Netherlands, quite scarce.
So try not to focus on the black hat techniques of competitors. My advice is to report it through a spam report and that's it. Continue with your own website. Focus on your own strategy.
I also know from experience that it can be frustrating especially when competitors through black-hat techniques score higher. Either a user as the owner of a search engine marketing agency. Especially in the latter case it is sometimes difficult to explain to customers that we have a long-term follow. Who usually works in the short term ...
