Why a sitemap should be unnecessary

Yes, you read that right. A sitemap should actually be redundant. In this article I will explain exactly why. And read before you fool me first explain the whole article here :)

What is a sitemap?

To explain all this, I will just tell you first what a sitemap is exactly. Moreover, there are two types of sitemaps. There is the sitemap for visitors. This is a page with links to the other pages and sitemap is intended purely for your visitor. This is where the sitemap on purpose and I I'm not saying this is unnecessary. What I mean is the XML sitemap. This is purely meant to let you know what pages your website has the search engines.

Google says this about a sitemap:

Sitemaps are a way to inform about pages on your site we might not otherwise find. Google

Why then is this unnecessary?

As Google says, it is a method to inform pages that they would not otherwise find. Their So if you have bad internal links, sometimes can not find the search engine pages. However, if you pages linking well with each other, any search engine and they should be able to find a sitemap would therefore be redundant. However, this only applies to small sites. If you have a news that every day 10 new articles are posted, it is advisable to use. An xml sitemap To a large site so have a xml sitemap.

Should I omit the sitemap now?

That depends On a small website with a few pages is a sitemap unnecessary and you can omit this as well, but it does not matter if you add them. Adding an XML sitemap will not hurt. On a very large site is quite advisable to add, to avoid that some pages are not indexed.
