Email prevent spam | SEO

Recently I watched while an acquaintance, as they perused their GMX spam report to incorrectly filtered as spam. On inquiry, I learned that they get about 700 spam emails a day, and looking through the daily reports takes several minutes. I was shocked - and took it as an opportunity to write this article. Because that is not necessarily so!

By cleverly combining different protective measures can prevent the expected influx of spam effectively. Even before any spam filters that, ie the number at all incoming spam is kept very low.
How is your e-mail address to spammers in their hands?

  •     through personal contributions (postings) to newsgroups, forums, blogs and guestbooks
  •     by the disclosure of e-mail addresses, for example by the provider of a newsletter or other Web service
  •     have carried on collecting email addresses specialized viruses or worms, which are located on computers, to the owners sent you an email
  •     by posting on your site and read through a Robot

Search Engine Optimization

On point 1 +2: Each time you leave somewhere on the net e-mail address, increases the risk of spam. The most important safeguard is, this is not to use your real email address, but a "disposable address". If the spam is rampant, just pop it still and replace it with a new one.

Against 3, you are powerless. Here only help filter spam.

Regarding Item 4: Both to contact as well as a correct owner. you can not fail to publish on your site an email address. If they encounter any precautions, it does not take long until the first spam  and over time more and more will. With what precautions you can prevent this, so it should go below.

Choice of e-mail address

Publish on your site only e-mail addresses that you can shut down if necessary, and replace it with new. The following addresses are not well suited for:
  1.     Your primary e-mail address from which you write
  2.     E-mail addresses, which are printed on brochures, letterhead or business cards in circulation

Whether posted online or not, you do not generally use standard e-mail address such as info@meinedomain.xy webmaster@meinedomain.xy or. Such frequently used addresses will really get spam too, without being published, so to speak, "on suspicion". I.e. the spammers need only know your domain, and then automatically sent to spam resulting standard addresses.
Frequency of publication

If you provide your e-mail address on every page, which may facilitate the contact, but it also increases the likelihood that they will be found by a spam robot. My advice is therefore:

Post your e-mail address only 1x on the contact page. And in all other places where you want to offer an opportunity to communicate, just put a link to it.
